Kim K and Mel B Party Together on Sydney Harbour

Kim Kardashian wasn't lonely without boyfriend Kanye West by her side in Sydney last night, catching up with close friend Spice Girl Mel B for a private speed boat soirée on the harbour.

Earlier in the day, the perpetually busy 31-year-old reality star promoted her new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians

After attending an E! Channel party at Rushcutters Bay restaurant Neild Avenue, Kim seemed relieved to grab a meal and have a good yarn with The X Factor judge Mel and her husband Stephen Belafonte.

The ladies exchanged hugs, air kisses and laughs on the new floating party destination The Island, which is co-owned by Mel's movie producer hubby. The boat left from Rose Bay Wharf and docked at Vaucluse for the evening. According to The Daily Telegraph, celebrity chef Luke Mangan served the meal, but would not comment on Kim's culinary preferences

The model slicked her hair back into an elegant ponytail, and accessorised with drop earrings, a delicate bracelet and rings, clutching a black purse in hand.

Orlando matched his other half in head-to-toe black, smiling as the pair exited the launch event.

But it seems the pair stopped at least briefly along their way, as Miranda stopped to strike a pose in front of the Sydney Opera House.

Kerr is currently in her native Australia for modelling duties as a new spokeswoman for Quantas airlines - and will star in campaigns to promote the Qantas Club as it aims to retain its lucrative frequent flyer customers.

The star has had a full schedule while in Australia, also promoting heavily for local label David Jones as well as her Kora Organics skin brand.

The 35-year-old Lord of the Rings actor meanwhile seems to be enjoying a bit of a break as he accompanies Miranda to her promotional events in her native Australia.

The couple on Sunday enjoyed a rare day off with her husband as the cruised around the eastern suburbs of Sydney in a classic '60s Mustang convertible with baby boy Flynn.
The couple, who married in 2010, welcomed their first son in January, 2011.

A ‘Romantic’ Moment? Katie Holmes Takes a Long Walk With Jeremy Strong

Newly divorced actress Katie Holmes with Jeremy Strong see an off Broadway production of "If You Haven't Found it Yet" staring Jake Gyllenhaal. After the play the pair grabbed a coffee.

Katie Holmes spent the weekend getting theatrical with actor Jeremy Strong.

The two took in the drama “If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet” Saturday afternoon at the Laura Pels Theatre before going on a walkabout through Manhattan.

Strong co-starred with Holmes in the 2010 comedy film “The Romantics.”

More recently, the two did a play reading together at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Western Massachusetts last month.

Strong has mostly racked up theater credits, though he has also been seen in films including “The Happening” and “Humboldt County.”

Holmes is slated to tread the boards herself this fall when “Dead Accounts” opens on the Great White Way.

“If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet” stars Jake Gyllenhaal, whose sister, Maggie, replaced Holmes in the role of Rachel Dawes in the “Batman” movie franchise.

Holmes was sans 6-year-old daughter Suri when she took a cab Saturday to meet up with Strong at a Times Square Starbucks.

After the matinee show, the pair strolled to Chelsea and stopped in at the Ace Hotel on 29th St. for some java and then meandered to her building.

Apparently trying to avoid the paparazzi camped outside, they took a circuitous route and used the garage entrance to get inside.

One spy told the Daily News that Holmes was “smiling, very relaxed” on her afternoon out.

Holmes, 33, hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone since she dumped superstar actor Tom Cruise this summer. Another man she was seen with a few weeks ago turned out to be her very married divorce lawyer.

Despite the intense spotlight she’s under, Holmes hasn’t shied away from public appearances, taking little Suri all over town. On Sunday, they joined Katie’s brother, Martin, at the Hudson River Park.
And on Monday, she was spotted with Suri in Brooklyn’s chic DUMBO, where the grade-schooler rode the historic Jane’s Carousel.

Hollywood Loses Its Gentle Giant Michael Clarke Duncan

MICHAEL Clarke Duncan, the hulking, prolific character actor whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in The Green Mile, has been remembered as a gentle giant.
Duncan, whose other box office hits included Armageddon, Planet of the Apes and Kung Fu Panda, died in a Los Angeles hospital on Monday after suffering a heart attack.

"I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike," Tom Hanks, Duncan's co-star in The Green Mile, said in a statement. "He was the treasure we all discovered on the set. He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned."

American actor and comedian Tommy Davidson joined a host of celebrities expressing their grief yesterday on Twitter. "The MOST gentle of Giants. RIP, my friend Michael," he tweeted.

The muscular, 196cm-tall Duncan was a former bodyguard who turned to acting in his 30s.
He had a handful of minor roles before The Green Mile brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor.

The 1999 film, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, starred Tom Hanks as a corrections officer at a penitentiary in the 1930s. Duncan played John Coffey, a convicted murderer with a gentle demeanour and extraordinary healing powers. Duncan's performance caught on with critics and filmgoers and he quickly became a favourite in Hollywood, appearing in several films each year.

He owed some of his good fortune to Bruce Willis, who recommended Duncan for The Green Mile after the two appeared together in Armageddon. Duncan would work with Willis again in Breakfast of Champions, The Whole Nine Yards and Sin City.

His industrial-sized build was suited for everything from superhero films (Daredevil) to comedy (Talledega Nights, School for Scoundrels). His gravelly baritone alone was good enough for several animated movies, including Kung Fu Panda, Delgo and Brother Bear.

Among Clarke's television credits were The Apprentice, The Finder, Two and a Half Men and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Born in Chicago in 1957, Duncan was raised by a single mother whose resistance to his playing football led to his decision to become an actor. But when his mother became ill, he dropped out of college at Alcorn State University and worked as a ditch digger and bouncer to support her.

By his mid-20s, he was in Los Angeles, where he looked for acting parts, and became a bodyguard for Will Smith, Jamie Foxx and other stars. The murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G., for whom Duncan had been hired to protect before switching assignments, led him to quit his job and pursue acting full-time.

Early film and television credits, when he was usually cast as a bodyguard or bouncer, included Bulworth, A Night at the Roxbury and The Players Club.

Earlier this year Clarke had appeared in a video for PETA, the animal rights organisation, in which he spoke of how much better he felt since becoming a vegetarian three years earlier.

"I cleared out my refrigerator, about $5000 worth of meat," he said. "I'm a lot healthier than I was when I was eating meat."

The actor's fiancee, American TV personality Omarose Manigault, told mourning fans she was "grateful for all of your prayers".

Madonna Apologises To Australian Fans By Opening Sydney Fitness Club

If you found yourself disappointed by Madonna's recent tour cancellation, left with nowhere to express yourself amongst other beautiful strangers, then cry no more material girl.

Her Madgesty has just opened a brand new fitness club in Sydney, a multi-storey gym experience called Hard Candy, not to be confused with the longtime Melbourne club night experience Hard Kandy.

The gym, formerly V-Club on Druitt Street reopened after its Madgification yesterday, complete with pole studio and sauna, all adorned by large images of Madonna looking buff and/or striking a pose.

The Queen of Pop didn't make an appearance at the opening, presumably for the same family reasons that she cancelled her Australian tour. Considering her appearances at all three of her other clubs, despite their rather random locations like Mexico, Moscow and Chile, it's surely only a matter of time before the gym junkie herself hits the treadmill here.

Although the group fitness schedule includes dance classes directly inspired by Madonna's own workout routines, high cut leotards are not compulsory:
